Activities
The purpose of these activities is to reinforce what you have learned from working through the resources in this session. The activities are not compulsory however you will benefit most from this session by working through the relevant activities as well as the resources. It is advised that you work through only the activities that are relevant to you, depending on if you have a Student or an Administrator account within ELGG.
Student activities
Activity 1
Proceed to the login page of your ELGG system using the methods as outlined by your manager, teacher or system administrator. Enter your credentials to log in to the system. Then, using the appropriate method, proceed to change your account password. When you have done this, test out your new login details by logging into ELGG.
Activity 2
Access your profile using the method described in this session and choose a suitable photo to display as your user icon. Then using the appropriate method, make sure that you receive email notifications from your ELGG system.
Administrator activities
Activity 1
Proceed to add a new user to your ELGG system. This could be a real life person, or a made up user for the purpose of practice. Fill in all required fields. If you have set up a user just for the purpose of practice, proceed to ban and then unban the user before totally deleting that user account, using the appropriate methods.
